I’ll take a Red Sox fan any way I can get them – face it – we’re not a picky lot. We want to win, and we hate everyone when we lose. We are not graceful, we’re direct, or candid more politely put. We like hot dogs, even contemplating what they’re made of, love beer, hate NY, Statue of Liberty is kind of nice, but otherwise nothing beats Boston. Nothing beats our team(s). Still – you know what kills me? My sister. She lives in Florida, she has never lived in Boston, or New England , and all the sudden I’m getting “we (we?) smashed that!!” text messages at the bottom of the first. Huh? And then this morning, “2nd game tonight (like I don’t know)!!! We demolished the Rockies! WhoooHooo”. Right, I didn’t even know she liked baseball and now she is SUCH a fan I’m getting “chew em up/spit em out” texts? She’s jumping on this train – now, careful – I can call her a wannabe, YOU cannot.
